Charity donates wheelchair to hospital
Path to Success, a London-based charity, has donated a wheelchair for use by bariatric (weight loss) patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The charity, which was established in 2005, funds projects which have an immediate and demonstrable positive impact upon the health, welfare and educational prospects of young people and adults. Support is provided through fundraising and grant-giving to organisations that fulfil their charitable objectives.

Mother of girl hit by London bus to carry Paralympic torch
The mother of a little girl who lost her leg when she was hit by a London bus will carry the Paralympic torch today. Sarah Hope and her daughter Pollyanna were both treated at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital by surgeon Simon Eccles following the crash in April 2007 which also killed Sarah’s mother, Elizabeth Panton.

A pioneering service to help women with female genital mutilation (FGM) has won two prestigious awards from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Maternity (APPGM). The new Dermatology and Plastics Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital has now re-opened following refurbishment. Dermatology moved into the new, improved area on Monday 9 July and Plastics will move into the new department on Monday 16 July.
