• Health Foundation backs Hospital Manager as a future leader in the NHS

  The Health Foundation today announced that Amit Khutti, Director of Strategy and Service Planning at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is to receive its much coveted and competitive Leadership Fellows award.

• Staff at top London hospital rewarded for ‘Excellent’ performance

  Bosses at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have approved a one-off payment of £100 to staff as a thank you for helping the Trust to achieve an ‘Excellent’ score in the recent NHS performance ratings.

• Holiday of a lifetime for young patients

  Two young patients who are treated for cancer at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital experienced the holiday of a lifetime at Disneyworld in Florida.

• Duathlon launched

  The Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity’s sponsorship of the world’s largest duathlon—a mix of running and cycling – was officially launched in November.

• Introducing our new Chairman

  Professor Christopher Edwards, who succeeded Juggy Pandit as the new Trust Chairman on November 1, is already well known to many staff at Chelsea and Westminster.

• Marathon effort to thank hospital

  The brother of a patient who lost her fight for life at Chelsea and Westminster has raised almost £6,000 for the hospital by running the London Marathon.

• Annual Members’ Meeting

  More than 200 people attended the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting in September to hear about the last year in the life of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

  Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust holds its Annual Members’ Meeting at 5.30pm on Thursday 20 September in the Restaurant.

• Acute Medical Unit opens

  A brand new Acute Medical Unit (AMU) opened at Chelsea and Westminster on Monday 6 August.

• Fundraising appeal to be launched

  Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity is launching a £900,000 fundraising appeal to buy a new Computerised Tomography (CT) scanner for the hospital.

  The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Chelsea and Westminster provides specialist care to give a chance of life to sick and very premature babies.

  The slogan for this year’s hospital Open Day was ‘Choose Chelsea and Westminster’ because this was an ideal opportunity to raise public awareness of their right to choose a hospital for their treatment – and why they should choose us.
