We are pleased to present our 2022 12 days of Christmas to celebrate the successes of teams across the Trust in what has been a challenging year for all of our staff.

Teams have been nominated by colleagues in recognition of their achievements this year. A different team will be featured each day, for 12 days.

Day 2 Advent 2022

Twelfth day of Christmas

Our A&E departments are working under incredible pressure, and have been seeing record numbers of attendances. Despite this, the teams continue to go above and beyond for our patients and are among the top performing in London, in terms of supporting handover of ambulances. Thank you to the teams for their resilience and focus on patient care.

Eleventh day of Christmas

Our mortuary teams have a challenging task and cover an extraordinary workload. They go above and beyond supporting families in their toughest moments, always working with dignity and respect—they are so appreciated.

Tenth day of Christmas

This frontline team are often unsung heroes. They support both our inpatients and provide an outpatient service for our patients, ensuring they provide a high-quality and safe service at all times.

Ninth day of Christmas

Crane Ward have been looking after COVID-19 positive patients for two and a half years but now, for the first time, they are COVID-19 free. Each and every member of staff have worked incredibly hard over the last few years, and have been highlighted for their commitment and care they provide for their patients.

Eighth day of Christmas

Pharmacy support is far and wide across all our services for inpatients, outpatients and A&E patients to ensure they receive the medications they need to support their care. We have also launched CW Medicines this year which provides medication for our outpatients. The teams are some of the unsung heroes of our organisation.

Seventh day of Christmas

A big thank you to each and every one of our Healthcare Assistants for all their hard work, dedication and being unfailingly kind to our patients. Our Healthcare Assistants are the backbone of our workforce, and are valued by our staff and patients alike.

Sixth day of Christmas

The Legal Services team, covering both hospital sites, are an integral part of the Trust, assisting staff members through some of the most difficult times. They are always willing to help and work closely together to ensure everyone is supported.

Fifth day of Christmas

The Nightingale team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital have only worked together since October 2022, but you would never know it. Everyone on this newly opened ward has risen to the challenge and gelled as a team. They work hard together every single day, always putting patients first.

Fourth day of Christmas

The Project Search team continues to bring hard work, commitment and kindness to the Trust in its fifth year of the programme. We work hard to challenge and change cultures, demonstrating how young people with a learning disability can enrich the workforce, bring incredible skills and talent, encourage greater diversity and meet a real business need. For the first time since we started, we have interns completing work experience in departments at both our hospitals simultaneously. We are thankful for the opportunity given to all these young people and wish you all a very merry, restful Christmas!

Third day of Christmas

The Decontamination team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital play a vital role in all our surgical procedures, sterilising equipment before and after every single procedure. They can rely on one another and always work as a team to get the job done.

Second day of Christmas

The team work and support each other whenever they can. When someone is sick, the entire team is willing to step in and lend a hand.

First day of Christmas

Our wonderful team of volunteers provide care, support and companionship to our patients throughout the year. They demonstrate our PROUD values in all of their volunteering roles. We would like to say a huge thank you for their dedication and commitment.
